February is National Spay Day Month!
Celebrate! Participate!
Here's How:
The Jessamine Humane Society is always happy when February rolls around each year and the Humane Society of the United States brings special awareness to the importance of spaying and neutering pets with its National Spay Day initiative. This year the JHS is unable to offer vouchers as it has done for many years—but, given our strong support of this program and the obvious need to help lessen the heartbreaking problem of the abundance of homeless pets, we are offering the following alternatives. Each is a good resource for help in responsibly caring for your pet, or helping a friend or relative care for theirs, by spaying and neutering in order to prevent the millions of unwanted puppies and kittens born each year. Do your part to help make sure every pet is a wanted pet, and one that will have a safe and loving home for a lifetime!
